Off University is a Berlin based self-organisation of scholars at risk which seeks new strategies to sustain academic life and knowledge threatened by anti-democratic and authoritarian regimes. This effort is for scholars from all over the world who have been removed from their institutions, forced to resign, legally politically persecuted, even imprisoned because of their opinions and research.
The color palette with calming teal shades, represents a sense of trust, openness, and academic integrity, reinforcing the organization’s mission. Warm secondary colors effectively attract attention without being too aggressive. The use of paper texture, halftone gradients and organic elements throughout the website provides a human touch and breaks the uniformity of digital elements while enhancing visual depth, making the design feel more engaging and dynamic.
